I begin without much thought to form or content, more an open forum to let the thoughts fall out of my head as they formulate and hope that the content takes on structure and at least leans toward a point. But while I chide myself for the inclination and aspiration to post these words in a public space, at the same time I am compelled to do so, following a destiny that, while to date is still to be fulfilled, is a path that seems comfortable and familliar as well as pre-ordained.

I think back to an email forwarded to me by someone in my circle of forwards that helped to conciliate the embarrassment of needed public acceptance of my words and the compulsion to publish.

A letter from Martha Graham to Agnes Demille:

There is a vitality, a life force, a quickening that
is translated through you into action, and because
there is only one of you in all time, this expression
is unique.

If you block it,
it will never exist through any other medium
and be lost.
The world will not have it.
It is not your business to determine how good it is;

So, feeling compelled to write, often channeling thought faster than I can type, constantly concerned about putting the work out there.....this seems quite comforting......
